Privacy Policy
01. About This Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy applies to the House of Aayushree website and our ordering services across custom creations, fabrics, home & living, ready-to-wear, and bespoke/uniform work for businesses.
02. Information We Collect
We may collect information reasonably necessary to provide our service, including:
- Contact details — your name, phone number, and email address where provided.
- Account information — your profile is protected by OTP-based sign-in; we don't use traditional passwords.
- Measurements — the garment measurements you provide, which may be retained for future orders, reorders, alterations, and customer service.
- Order and quotation information — design requirements, garment specifications, fabric choices, embroidery/embellishment requirements, quotations, payment status, order status, alteration requests, and your approvals.
- Content you provide — reference images, photographs, sketches, and other design references.
- Shipping information — recipient name, address, phone number, city, state, postal code, and country.
- Payment information — payments are processed through a third-party payment gateway; we receive the amount paid, a transaction/reference ID, payment status and date. We do not store your complete card number, CVV or similar payment credentials.
- Communications — relevant messages through WhatsApp, phone, email or our website's contact channels.
- Website/technical information — such as IP address, browser/device information, pages or actions visited, timestamps, and technical or event logs.
03. How We Use Your Information & Legal Basis
Where necessary and permitted under applicable law, we use your personal data to:
- Create and manage your customer account, and authenticate you via OTP
- Understand your bespoke requirements and prepare a quotation
- Create your garment and retain measurements for future orders
- Process and confirm orders, process payments, and manage alterations
- Ship and deliver your order, and provide tracking and customer support
- Communicate with you about your order and our services
- Maintain business records, prevent fraud, and secure our website and systems
- Improve our website and customer experience, and analyse website usage
- Send marketing communications where appropriately permitted or consented to
- Comply with applicable law, resolve disputes, and protect our legal rights
Where GDPR applies to you, we process your data on these bases: contract (to fulfil and manage your order), consent (marketing communications, optional cookies), legitimate interest (fraud prevention, analytics, website security), and legal obligation (tax, accounting, regulatory compliance).
04. Accounts, Measurements & Bespoke Orders
Each person currently has an individual customer profile and retained measurement record — we don't currently offer a parent-child account structure. If you're ordering for someone else, they ideally should have their own profile too, so their measurements and information can be retained.
05. Payments, Shipping & Third-Party Services
We share information reasonably necessary for our service with third-party providers, including payment processors, courier/logistics partners, our CRM/customer-management system, website and technology providers, analytics providers, communication providers, professional advisers where necessary, and government authorities where legally required. We share only what's reasonably necessary for that purpose.
House of Aayushree does not sell your personal data. Because we serve customers internationally, some service providers may process or store information outside India, using appropriate safeguards — such as standard contractual clauses — where required by applicable law.
Our website may also link to third-party websites or services. We're not responsible for their privacy practices, and we encourage you to review their privacy policies separately.
06. Marketing, Analytics & Cookies
WhatsApp is our primary communication channel, used for enquiries, design discussions, measurements, quotations, payment and order communication, production updates, final garment review and approval, shipping, alterations and customer service — this is transactional/service communication.
We may also use WhatsApp primarily for promotional and marketing communication. Where consent is required for marketing, we obtain it appropriately, and you can opt out of marketing communications at any time without affecting necessary order or service updates.
We use analytics and event-tracking technologies to understand website usage, customer journeys, performance, and marketing effectiveness, and to identify technical issues. We do not claim that this tracking is anonymous. See our Cookie Policy for more detail on cookies, consent, and the specific technologies used.
07. Children's Personal Data
We create garments for children as well as adults. Where a child's personal information is collected, it's provided by a parent or legal guardian, whose consent we obtain in line with the applicable age threshold — under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Rules, 2025, or under GDPR, where member states set the threshold between 13 and 16. We do not use children's personal data for targeted advertising or behavioural monitoring where this is prohibited by applicable law.
08. Images, Photography & Marketing
Reference images or photographs you provide are used to understand and fulfil your order. We may also photograph completed garments and use that imagery — shown on a dummy, mannequin, or as an AI-generated visual representation — for our website, portfolio, social media, advertising and marketing. Your face and identifying personal information are never shown in this imagery, and your data is not used to train AI models. We don't claim ownership of third-party reference images you provide.
09. Data Security & Retention
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, misuse, loss, alteration, disclosure or destruction. No electronic system can guarantee absolute security.
We retain personal data for as long as reasonably necessary for your account, orders, measurements, customer service, accounting and tax requirements, legal obligations, dispute resolution, fraud prevention, and other lawful purposes. When data is no longer needed for these purposes, it is deleted, anonymised, or otherwise appropriately handled in line with applicable law.
10. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to: access your data, correct inaccurate data, request erasure, restrict or object to processing, request data portability, and withdraw consent at any time. Where GDPR applies to you, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority. Contact us to exercise these rights; we may reasonably verify your identity before acting on a request.
Withdrawing consent doesn't undo processing that was lawful before withdrawal, and doesn't necessarily require us to delete information we're legally required or otherwise permitted to retain — for example, for tax, accounting, legal, dispute-resolution, or fraud-prevention purposes.
11. Changes to This Policy & Contact Us
We may update this Privacy Policy as our services, technology, data practices or legal requirements change. Material changes will be communicated appropriately where required by applicable law.
