From The House
Some pieces stay with you.
A few reflections from women who invited us into moments that mattered.

I wear labels — my colleagues clock it instantly. So when I turned up to a work dinner in a piece House of Aayushree had made and someone asked which store, that was the moment. Small thing, but I noticed I was standing differently in it.
My daughter's graduation, and I was more nervous about my outfit than she was about her degree. Mrs. Behl didn't just take my measurements — she asked how I wanted to feel walking into that hall. The kurta set needed zero alterations. I got more compliments than the graduate. She's still annoyed about it.
Three of my nani's old sarees, turned into mehendi, sangeet, and cocktail outfits. I never said a word about being self-conscious of my arms, but somehow the sangeet blouse solved exactly that. Wearing something that started as her saree, at my own wedding — I didn't expect it to mean as much as it did.
First job, zero idea what "work appropriate" even meant for me. Mrs. Behl asked about my commute before she asked about colours, which felt like an odd question until I understood why — the coat had to survive the metro. Two years in, it's still the one I reach for on the hardest days.
I have a drawer of things I wore exactly once. The rust anarkali isn't one of them — a friend's sangeet, two Diwalis, and a cousin's reception since. It was built around how I actually move, not how a size chart thinks I should look.
First Karwa Chauth with my in-laws and I was terrified of getting it wrong. Mrs. Behl asked about the puja colours specifically, which I hadn't even thought to mention myself. The sharara arrived and it was — correct, somehow, in a way I couldn't have described. My mother-in-law called my mother the next morning just to talk about it.
Two kids and about ten years in, I'd stopped really thinking about what I wore, if that makes sense. Mrs. Behl didn't just take my measurements — she asked what I actually wanted to feel like. Wore the angrakha dress to a family dinner. I just really love the fit — I find any excuse to wear it again.
Thirty-one years at the same company, and I wanted one outfit that was just mine — not for an occasion, not for anyone else. Mrs. Behl chose every detail like she already knew what I'd say yes to. I wore it to my own farewell, and I felt genuinely confident walking into that room — not dressed up, just like myself.
My mother's in Delhi, I'm in Toronto, and every festival I worry she won't have the right thing to wear. I described what I wanted over WhatsApp voice notes, badly, and it still arrived exactly right. She called me the morning she wore it, just delighted. I've ordered twice more since.
The bed linen was the first thing that made our new apartment feel lived-in. My husband mentioned it before I did, which was new. A couple of guests have asked where it's from since.

Beautiful things begin with understanding. Nothing here is made in a hurry.

Beautiful shouldn’t mean close enough.
Something can look beautiful and still not feel right.
Most women know this feeling — you find something beautiful and imagine wearing it before the day even arrives. You love the dress, but wish the sleeves sat differently. You choose the fabric, but hesitate before it’s cut. You’re never quite sure it will look on you the way it looked in your head. That’s…
Ready when you are — let’s talk about what you have in mind.
Start My Custom Design →Not every fabric asks to be noticed. Some simply feel right.
You’ll feel it before you notice it — light, soft, holding its shape without you thinking about it. We don’t choose a fabric for how it photographs. We choose it for how naturally you keep reaching for it. Every piece begins with a technique carried by Indian artisans for generations — hand block prints like…

Some homes feel arranged.
Some feel remembered.
The same care that goes into what you wear also goes into your home. Our block print pieces are made to be used every day — not saved for special occasions. There’s something about fabric inside a home that changes how everything feels. Morning light feels softer. Conversations linger longer. Rest comes more easily. Because…

We welcome it. Because how something makes you feel matters as much as how it looks. Every piece here is chosen the way…

Opening Thoughtfully
An invitation arrivesonly when the moment feels right.
Some experiences are already welcoming guests. Others are still taking shape with the same patience that defines everything we create.
Stay close. When a new room opens, we’d love to welcome you personally.

Before Anything Else
Somewhere behind every piece, someone is thinking of you — not as an order, but as a person trying to feel right in something beautiful.
That has never changed, and it never will.
This House remembers who it’s for.
If you’d like to know how it began, our story is here.Questions we hear most often.
With a conversation, not a form. You share what you're imagining — an occasion, a fabric, a feeling — and we take it from there, guiding you through fit, fabric and finishing before anything is cut.
Every creation is made once it's fully understood, not against a fixed calendar. Most pieces are ready within a few weeks; you'll always know your own timeline before you commit.
It depends on fabric, craftsmanship and detail — and we believe you should understand exactly what you're paying for. We'll always break this down honestly before you decide anything.
Yes. Every piece is wrapped and shipped with the same care it was made with, wherever you are in the world.
That's the most common way to begin. Tell us a little — a colour, an old photo, a feeling you can't quite name — and we'll ask the right questions to find the rest.
Still have a question? Every conversation is welcomed personally.
